On December 19, 1988, a new force in the Southeastern Province was born! From the outset, the Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumni Chapter set out to shine as a beacon of ACHIEVEMENT and service in DeKalb County and metro Atlanta communities. We have built our reputation on dedicated community service with our Guide Right initiatives and Community Action programs. As a chapter, we continue to strive to be innovative, diligent, and committed to supporting programs and initiatives on both Province and National levels.

As a result of our efforts, Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumni Chapter has been recognized as a premier alumni chapter within Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity nationally as the Paul W. Caine International Chapter of the Year in 2005, 2009, 2011 and 2013 and provincially as the J. Michael Graves Southeastern Province Alumni Chapter of the Year in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2020 and 2021.  In addition, we were awarded the Jay Crosby Award for having exceptional Guide Right (mentorship) programs in 2008 and 2016.
